This distinguished picture frame 2-13/16" - 1 measure 2.812" wide by 1.500" tall; it will require eight quarter lumber for milling this detail on an industrial molder; we recommend planing the lumber down to 1-3/4" thickness to ease the stress on the knives from having to cut such a deep detail. The beautiful profile is composed of a thumbnail-shaped arc joined to two 5/32" wide stepped lines with a 7/64" cove on the left side, attached to a 7/64" wide line segment that transitions into a deep two tangent radius scotia in the center, connected to a 19/64" wide half circle flanked by small line segments with a 13/64" cove on the right side of the pattern. The rabbet for the artwork on the left side measures 3/8" wide by 5/8" tall and is included in the downloadable dxf file available below. You may want to consider utilizing this pattern as a large bolection moulding on a panel of an exterior door, whatever you decide, it will surely heighten the architectural decor of the room in which it is installed.
