Panel Mould 7/8" - 3

This lovely 7/8" - 3-panel mould measures .875" wide by 5/8" thickness, enabling the pattern to be machined out of fall-off rips of four-quarter lumber. The simplistic profile is composed of a 1/2" wide half-round sphere on the top left, attached to a 1/8" wide line segment that transitions downward 56.31 degrees to the bottom of the design. We could mill this pattern singly, but the sharp pointed edge would be crushed and torn between the inside fixed fence and the bed plates on the machine, so milling it two pieces at a time eliminates that issue. Caution: When cutting this detail, the blades will come within .020" of the machine bed plates. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device for your machinery before attempting milling procedures involving splitting lumber into multiple pieces.

The up-to-date combined high-speed steel knives & template prices are listed below for quoting purposes. On the side knives, we utilize a full 2.375"/60mm cutter head for the rabbet; this allows for multiple axial adjustments on a wide range of patterns.
