This institutional handrail/guardrail moulding 6" - 8 measures 1.500" width by 6.000" tall, necessitating a 6-1/4" wide blank of eight-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial moulder. The functional guard railing gets installed in the corridors of hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers nationwide. The detail comprises two 9/16" radius corners on top for a smoother feeling in the palm when gripped. The sides consist of 1-1/4" tall by 11/32" deep concave semicircle for gripping the railing while walking. The bottom side of the pattern retains two decorative 1/2" radius corners.
