Handrail 3-7/8" - 1

This unconventional 3-7/8" - 1 handrail measures 3-7/8" in width by 1-7/8" in thickness, requiring glued-up boards that equal 4-1/8" wide by 10/4 lumber for machining on a commercial molder. This profile comprises a 1-5/16" radius convex arc on the top center tangent to a 1-5/8" concave semicircle, creating elegance. Both sides consist of a 5/64" tall vertical fillet joined to a 3/16" bullnose tangent to a 3/8" concave section forming the smooth finger grip area in the center. The lower section retains a 1/16" wide by 7/16" tall receding notch with a 3/64" eased corner. The bottom width is 2-5/8" across with a 1/8" deep plow, leaving 3/8" flat sections on each design side.
