Handrail 3-1/2"

This stylish 3-1/2" handrail measures 3.500" wide by four inches tall, necessitating glued-up pieces of four-, five-, or six-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The beautifully symmetrical design is composed of a bidirectional wave-like cyma reversa derived from a 1-1/8" radius arc and two 1-7/8" concave semicircles on the top, the sides consist of two 5/8" tall half-round beads, flanked by small lines segments with 3/64" eased edges, joined to a 1-1/2" radius concave cove, providing the lovely railing with a smooth but firm gripping area when ascending or descending a staircase, the bottom of the design retains a 1-1/4" wide by 9/32" deep dado for mounting hardware or balusters.
