Handrail 3-1/8" - 4

This colonial 3-1/8" - 4 handrail measures 3.125" wide by 3.000" thickness, requiring a 3-3/8" wide blank of glued-up lumber for machining on an industrial moulder. The old world profile comprises a 1-21/64" convex arc tangent to two 1-21/64" convex semicircles with 3/64" eased edges on the top. The symmetrical side retains a 7/8" tall half bead flanked by a 1/8" vertical fillet above, and a 3/16" below the convex arc. The lower line connects to a comfortable finger grip area with a decorative 5/16" bead flanked by vertical line segments with a 3/64" rolled corner on the bottom sides of the design.
