This fashionable 3" - 28 handrail measures 3.000" width by 1.750" thickness, allowing the use of solid eight-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial-grade molder. The chic pattern contains a superficial bidirectional wave-like curvature with a 5/64" vertical step on top. Both sides consist of a 9/32" convex arc tangent to a 1/4" concave semicircle, creating a functional finger grip area that transitions into an 11/64" decorative convex bead and an 11/64" vertical fillet, with a 3/64" rounded corner in the lower portion. The plow dimension for the balusters on the bottom is 1-1/2" wide by 1/4" deep, leaving a 1/2" width measurement on each side edge of the dado.
