Handrail 2-15/16" - 1

This unpretentious 2-15/16" - 1 handrail measures 2.937" wide by 1.687" thickness, permitting the design to be milled out of eight-quarter lumber. The basic profile is milled from both the right & left cutter heads on the molder. This enables the width to be produced to any desired size within the parameters of the machinery used to cut the detail. The functional pattern is composed of a 1-15/16" wide flat line segment on top. The sides are comprised of a 1/2" radius convex arc tangent to a 1-1/2" concave semicircle; this area provides the gripping portion on the railing, the bottom of the design retains a 1-1/2" wide by 1/4" deep dado for the balusters with 3/64" eased edges on both sides.
