Handrail 2-7/8"

This extravagant 2-7/8" handrail measures 2.875" wide by 3.500" tall, requiring glued-up four, five, or six-quarter lumber for milling. The elegant profile is composed of a bidirectional three tangent radius cyma reversa with 3/64" eased edges on the top, the sides consists of a 15/64" tall vertical fillet in the upper section, attached to a wave-like s-curve creating the finger grip area in the middle, connected to a 3/16" radius edge that transitions into a decorative recessed half round bead flanked by vertical fillets with a 1/16" round-overs on the lower edges. The bottom of the railing retains a 1-3/4" wide by 1/4" deep dado for the baluster or balustrade.
