This beautifully creative 2-1/4" - 43 handrail measures 2.250" wide by .906" thickness, enabling the pattern to be machined out of five-quarter lumber. The curved upper portion of the profile is composed of a 2-21/32" radius elliptical shaped top with 3/64" eased edges for comfort when holding the railing, the sides consist of 1/2" tall line segments the height of the rail is variable with a radial adjustment of the top cutter head. The bottom of the detail retains the same radius as the top with a 1-3/8" wide by 3/8" deep dado for the balusters or balustrade.
