Handrail 2-1/4" - 36
This modern 2-1/4" - 36 handrail measures 2.250" wide by 1.625" tall, allowing the detail to be milled from glued-up pieces of four-quarter lumber. Because the profile is milled from the left and right vertical cutter heads on the molder or shaper, the width can be milled to any desired size within the machinery parameters. The symmetrical contemporary profile is composed of a flat rectangular shaped top with 1/8" eased edges, connected to a 1/2" tall vertical line on both sides that taper inward forty degrees, joined to a 3/4" tall vertical line segment with 3/64" eased edges, leaving a 1-5/8" width at the bottom of the design.
