3/8" Half Round

This 3/8 half round measures .375" wide by .187" thickness, with a .198" depth of cut on the top horizontal cutters. Caution; the knives will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling these profiles; we suggest a sacrificial bed plate be used for this type of milling operation.

The profile comprises two 3/8" wide half round circles divided by a single 5/32" wide splitter. As with every splitting operation, we recommend installing an anti-kickback device on the molder before attempting to mill any of our multiple profiles. Utilize fall-off rips of lumber while doubling production in half the amount of time with this unique split two custom half-round profile. These patterns are not intended to be used for milling a bullnose detail; they have no blend area in the knife design because they are milled from the top horizontal cutter head; please search our bullnose profiles for nosings that mill from the right and left vertical moulder spindles, all these have blend areas built into the cutters.
