Crown 8-5/16" - 1

This elegant 8-5/16" - 1 crown mould measures 8.312" wide by 1.250" thickness; this detail will require six-quarter lumber to properly mill this pattern on an industrial moulder. The profile is composed of a small cyma recta flanked by two vertical fillets at the top, they are connected to a large cove in the center with an attached ovolo and smaller cove at the bottom which are also flanked by small fillets. When installed, the height becomes slightly over 6-7/16" tall with a projection of 5-1/4" wide with the spring angles fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees. Four of the points in the design are purposely positioned on the same plane, this design practice will create superior hold down conditions while milling the pattern in the moulder.
