Crown 5-3/4" - 20

This concave 5-3/4" - 20 crown mould measures 5.750" wide by .843" thickness, enabling the pattern to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The tall profile is comprised of a two-tangent radius elliptical shaped cove flanked by a .475" vertical line on top, joined with a 7/32" wide by 1/2" tall, notched fillet that joins to a 25/32" broad horizontal line at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at twenty-four and sixty-six degree, these back cutters set the installed height at 5-1/16" tall with a projection of 2-13/16" wide. We intentionally used these specific back angles to allow the high points in the design to be positioned on the same plane, this will ensure superior hold down conditions while milling the pattern on an industrial style moulder, providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the bed plates.
