Crown 5-1/2" - 16

This fancy 5-1/2" - 16 colonial crown mould measures 5.502" width by .813" thickness, requiring the use of a 5-3/4" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on a commercial moulder. The traditional terminating profile contains a 23/64" tall vertical line on the top left. The short line connects to a graceful two tangent radius s-shaped curvature designed from a 2-5/16" concave semicircle joined to a 1-13/16 convex arc in the center. The lower portion of the pattern consists of a 1/4" vertical line segment merged with a 3/4" cove and a 21/64" flat line on the design's bottom right side. The set spring angles are at forty-five degrees; these dedicated back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; they also lock in the positioned height at 3-29/32" tall with a projection of 3-7/8" across the top.
