Crown 4-5/16" - 4

This enhanced 4-5/16" - 4 colonial crown mould measures 4.336" width by .812" thickness, requiring a 4-9/16" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on a commercial moulder. The terminating profile composes a 9/16" vertical line segment on the top left. The short line connects to a 3/4" radius cove tangent off of an 11/16" convex arc creating the cyma recta. The s-shaped curvature attaches to a 1/4" vertical fillet joined to a 1/2" wide by 23/32" tall perpendicular notch for inserting rope or dentil moulding, and a 9/16" cove connected to a 17/64" flat line on the design's bottom right side. The fixed spring angles are set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; they also lock in the positioned height at 3-1/2" tall with a 2-9/16" projection across the top.
