Crown 3-7/8" - 3

This concave 3-7/8" - 3 crown mould measures 3.871" width by .750" thickness, requiring a 4-1/8" blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on an industrial moulder. The established terminating profile comprises an 11/32" vertical line on the top left. The short segment connects to a 1-13/16" radius cavetto in the center, merged with a 7/32" horizontal fillet and a 13/16" convex arc on the design's bottom right. The fixed spring angles are set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; in addition, they lock in the height position at 3-5/32" tall with a 2-1/4" projection across the top.
