Crown 3-3/16" - 9

This standard 3-3/16" - 9 colonial crown mould measures 3.201" width by .750" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined sprung (laying horizontally flat) out of four-quarter lumber on an industrial-style molder. The traditional terminating profile contains an 11/32" tall vertical line segment on the top left, connected to an 11/16" concave semicircle tangent to a 23/32" convex arc forming the cyma recta with a 5/16" vertical drop in elevation in the center. This step merges to a 15/32" cove with a 5/16" horizontal line segment on the bottom right side of the pattern. The fixed spring angles are at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; these particular back bevels keep the exposed face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed, as well as set the oriented height at 2-1/2" tall with a projection of 2" across the top.
