This 3-1/16" - 7 colonial crown mould measures 3.050" width by .687" thickness, requiring a 3-5/16" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling sprung (laying horizontally flat) on an industrial moulder. The old-world terminating profile comprises a 5/32" vertical fillet joined to a 3/16" tall by 9/64" wide perpendicular notch on the top left. The small cut-out connects to a 27/32" concave semicircle tangent to a 3/4" convex arc forming the lovely cyma recta in the center. The lower portion consists of a 9/64" vertical fillet attached to a 7/32" elongated cove with an 11/64" flat line segment on the design's bottom right corner. The spring angles are at forty-five degrees; the dedicated back bevels keep the face sides of the pattern parallel to the wall and ceiling. These specific angle positions lock in the installed height at 2-1/8" tall with a 2-3/16" projection across the top.
