Crown 2-1/4" - 1

This smaller 2-1/4" - 1 traditional crown mould measures 2.250" wide by .625" thickness, allowing the pattern to be milled sprung (laying horizontally flat) out of four-quarter lumber. The conventional terminating profile is one of the classic crown designs widely utilized in the industry today. It is comprised of a 1/2" tall vertical fillet on the top left, connected to a 1/2" concave semicircle tangent to a 39/64" convex arc creating the cyma recta in the center, attached to a 9/64" vertical line joined to a 5/16" cove with a 5/32" broad horizontal line at the bottom right side of the design. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these particular back bevels keep the inner section of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed, as well as set the oriented height at 1-13/16" tall with a projection of 1-5/16" broad.
