This creative 4" - 24 chair rail measures 4.000" wide by .750" thickness, enabling the pattern to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The belly band profile is composed of a 1-31/32" wide bidirectional cyma reversa in the center, flanked by a 5/64" wide line segment that transitions into a 3/8" wide thumbnail shaped bead, connected to a 9/16" wide horizontal line with 5/64" eased inner edges. The outer edges were intentionally left square to utilize any of our multiple radius edges. Here's just one we think would complement this design:
