Chair Rail 2-1/2"

This traditional 2-1/2" chair rail measures 2.500" wide by .687" thickness, permitting the detail to be milled out of four-quarter lumber. The familiar profile is composed of a 21/64" quarter circle on the top left, joined to a smooth two tangent radius cyma reversa in the center, merged with a 1/4" wide half round bead flanked by two 5/32" broad line segments and a 5/32" cove with a 3/64" eased edge on the right side of the design.

Caution; the cutters will come within .020" of the moulder bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations.
