This WM 229 batten pattern 1-5/8" - 2 measures 1.625" in width by .687" in thickness. A batten is generally a symmetrical profile used to disguise the line where two parallel panels or boards join. The graceful balanced shape comprises a 1/2" broad flat section on the top center. It's flanked by two tangent radii s-shaped curvatures consisting of 7/32," and 1/4" concave & convex arcs joined to 3/32" broad flat lines, leaving a 1/4" thickness dimension on each side edge of the detail. We suggest using 1-7/8" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for milling with industrial equipment.
