This contemporary 5" - 38 door/window casing measures 5.000" wide by 1.062" thickness, allowing the pattern to be machined out of five-quarter lumber. The fashionable profile is composed of a one-inch broad flat line with a 3/16" beveled edge on the top left. It's connected to a 3/16" drop in elevation and a 3-1/16" flat segment in the center, attached to a 3/16" wide by 1/8" deep dado and a 3/8" broad flat line with another 3/16" chamfer, leaving a 1/2" thickness dimension on the right side of the design.
