On this back bevel design, the maximum depth of cut is .594", and the maximum height of cut is set at .708". Every back bevel moulding we layout have height numbers near the degree of cut, that number must be smaller than the height number, in this case, .708" for this knife to be able to cut the entire depth while milling any of the above mentioned profiles, if not please select a larger size height bevel of the same degree, we have a few options to select from. We design all our back-cuts with forty-five degree and under bevels milled on the right vertical cutter head, and all forty-five degree and higher bevels milled on the left vertical cutter heads on the molder. Our disciplined design practices will save you thousands of dollars in manufacturing costs over the years by eliminating unnecessary cutters.
For knife quoting purposes click to open the calculator below, we have added only the important measurements, just enter the appropriate dimension in the boxes provided. A brief detailed explanation on how to use the calculator is located here. Need some assistance with the dimensions? Print a copy of our fraction - decimal - millimeter chart, place it on the molder to help operators save time and increase accuracy during machine setup.
