In this bevel the maximum depth of cut can only be .625" with the maximum height of cut being set at .944". Every crown moulding we design has height dimensions near the edge of each specified bevel, that number must be smaller than the height number on the image, in this case .944" for this knife to be able to work properly when milling, if not, please select a different sized bevel with a larger dimension than on the crown paperwork we supplied. We design all our crown mouldings with forty-five degree and under to be milled on the right vertical cutter head on the moulder, and all forty-five degree bevels and higher are milled on the left vertical cutter head of a moulder, this design practice will save you thousands of dollars in manufacturing cost over years in business.
For knife quoting purposes use the calculator below, we have added only the important measurements, just determine the cutters you need. A brief detailed explanation on how to use the calculator is located here. Need some assistance with the dimensions? Print a copy of our fraction - decimal - millimeter chart, place it on the moulder to help operators save time and increase accuracy during machine setup.
Thickness = 1.625" / Depth of Cut = .625" (right blades) & .000" (left cutters).
