Bed Mould 3-1/32" - 1

This bed mould 3-1/32" - 1 measures 3.031" wide by .687" thick. As with most bed moulding designs, the upper portion is a radius arc which will lead a person's eyes to the next element of the crown or cornice buildup.

This detail comprises a two-tangent radius arc designed to create an elliptical-shaped bead with an attached cavetto flanked by a vertical and horizontal fillet on the bottom. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degrees, and these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-3/8" tall, with a projection of 1-15/16" wide.

Two high points in the design were purposely positioned on the same level plane. This design practice will provide optimal hold-down conditions during the milling process.
