This beautifully large 8" - 101 base moulding measures 8.000" wide by 1.000" thickness, requiring an 8-1/4" wide blank of five-quarter lumber for machining on an industrial moulder. The fancy pattern comprises a 5-1/4" broad flat section on the top center. The 2-3/4" profile section retains a 3/16" cove with a 1/8" vertical drop in elevation. The short step connects to a 1-19/64" broad flat line attached to a 1/8" wide by 3/32" deeply sunk fillet. Attached to a lovely two tangent radius ogee, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on the design's right edge.
