This mid-sized 5-1/2" - 45 base moulding measures 5.500" in width by .625" in thickness, requiring 5-3/4" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for machining with an industrial moulder. The stylish detail retains a 3-7/8" broad flat section on the top left. It attaches to a 1-1/16" wide cong'e derived from a 1/8" radius cove with a 9/64" vertical step joined to a two tangent radius ogee, leaving a 5/32" thickness on the design's right edge.
