historic baseboard 4-7/16" measures 4.438" width by .750" thickness, requiring the use of a 4-11/16" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial molder. The old-world profile contains a two-inch-wide flat line on the top left. The segment connects to a 1-5/8" broad congee derived from a 3/16" concave semicircle with a 5/32" vertical step in the center. The remaining portion of the pattern retains a two tangent radius ogee made up from a 5/8" radius semicircle, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on the design's right side.
