WM 131 Base Shoe 3/4" - 6

This WM 131 base shoe 3/4" - 6 measures .750" in width by .500" in thickness. The mainstream design consists of a 17/64" broad horizontal line segment on the top left. It joins a two-tangent radius cyma recta composed of two 1/4" semicircular arcs connected ty a small angled line. The recommended rough wood rip size using four-quarter lumber is 1" wide. Base shoes are mainly used to enhance baseboard designs while covering any uneven gaps between the flooring and the bottom of the mopboard. When installed, the profile is secured to the baseboard, not the flooring, because the floor is moving with seasonal changes in relative humidity.

Caution: the cutters will come within .020" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device for your machinery before attempting any milling procedures that involve splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
