Base Shoe 5/8" - 3

This small 5/8" - 3 base shoe measures .625" wide by .500" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined from four-quarter lumber. The milling dimension is 1.406" wide enabling the use of fall off rips of lumber while doubling production in half the amount of time with this unique split two base shoe profile. The typical profile comprises a 1/2" radius arc tangent from a 1/8" broad line segment on top.

Caution; the cutters will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic or plastic sacrificial bed plate be used for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device be installed on the machinery before attempting any milling procedures that involve splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
