Base Shoe 5/8" - 1

This 5/8" - 1 ogee base shoe measures .625" wide by .500" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined from fall-off rips of four-quarter lumber while doubling production in half the amount of time with this unique base shoe pattern. The profile is composed of a 1/8" wide by 1/16" tall raised fillet on the outer edge, joined to a two tangent radius cyma reversa/ogee leaving a 7/64" thickness dimension on the thin side of the design.

Caution; the cutters will come within .014" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic or plastic sacrificial bed plate be used for these milling operations. For safety concerns, we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device be installed on the machinery before attempting any milling procedures that involve splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
