Base Cap 3-1/2" - 3

This colonial base cap 3-1/2" - 3, measures 3.500" wide by .812" thickness, enabling the use of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial-grade molder. The traditional profile contains a 5/16" wide fillet at a 1/2" thickness dimension on the top left; this will create a quirk when applied to a piece of surfaced four sides lumber (S4S). The line connects to a free-flowing two-tangent radius s-shaped curvature in the center. Connected to a 5/8" wide half-circle flanked by a 3/16" wide fillet and a 1/2" cove, leaving a 5/16" thickness dimension on the right side of the design.
