This ornate base cap 3" - 4 measures 3.000" wide by .812" thickness, authorizing the use of four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial-grade molder. The distinctive profile contains a 1/8" wide by 1/8" deep perpendicular notch creating a quirk when applied to a piece of surfaced four sides lumber (S4S). That rabbet merges with a 5/8" flat line and a 3/8" cavetto that combines a half circle and slightly obtuse downsloping lines in the center. This section connects to a 7/8" broad flat line segment and a 1/16" full by 5/32" deeply sunk fillet with a 5/32" radius half-circle on the right side of the design.
