Base Cap 2-3/8" - 8

This creative base cap 2-3/8" - 8 measures 2.375" wide by .625" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled from resawn six or solid four-quarter lumber. The beautiful profile is composed of a 1/8" wide by 1/8" deep notch at a 1/2" thickness dimension on the left, this creates a quirk when applied to a piece of S4S (surfaced four sides) lumber, connected to a 3/8" broad line segment that transitions into an elegant three tangent radius cyma reversa in the center, attached to a 13/32" wide by 9/64" deep vertical step with a 1/4" quarter circle on the right side of the design.

Caution; the cutters will come within .020" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic or plastic sacrificial bed plate be used for these milling operations.
