Base Cap 2-3/8" - 4

This definitive baseboard cap 2-3/8" - 4 measures 2.375" wide by .562" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The attractive profile is composed of a beautiful two-tangent radius cyma reversa in the center, attached to a 5/16" wide half round bead with a 5/16" quarter round arc on the right side of the profile, the back side rabbet measures 1/4" wide by 1/4" tall. This professionally drafted cad dxf file (available for purchase in the box below) contains two high precision template designs to create cutters for this base cap detail. On the left set of blades, we utilize a full 2.375"/60mm cutter head for the rabbet; this allows for multiple axial adjustments on a wide range of patterns.
