This colonial base cap 1-5/8" measures 1.625" wide by .500" thickness, allowing the pattern to be milled from either resawn five or six-quarter lumber. The old world profile is comprised of a 7/64" broad line segment at a 5/16" thickness dimension on the top left, this will create a quirk when applied to a piece of S4S (surfaced four sides) lumber, connected to a free-flowing two tangent radius cyma reversa in the center, joined to a tiny half circle flanked by small flat lines and a stepped perpendicular lines with an elliptical shaped cove on the right side of the pattern.
