This colonial base cap 1-1/4" measures 1.250" wide by .625" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The traditional profile composes a 1/8" broad horizontal line at a 3/8" thickness dimension on the left, this area creates a quirk when applied to a piece of S4S (surfaced four sides) lumber. Attached to a graceful two tangent radius cyma reversa with a 5/16" wide splay faced angle leaving a 9/64" thickness dimension on the right side of the design.
