Bar Rail 5" - 1

This custom Chicago-style 5" - 1 bar rail retains a half-round top with a bullnose front edge connected to another by a concave semicircle in the center. The detail has two necessary measurements; one set for milling sprung (parallel to the machine's bedplates) is 5-1/4" wide by 1-11/16" thick to minimize lumber cost. The other dimensions are in the image above to help prepare the sub-top and countertop. The recommended rough wood rip size using eight-quarter lumber is 5-1/2" wide.
