Backband 1-1/2" - 1

This modern backband 1-1/2" - 1 measure 1.500" wide by 1.250" thickness, allowing the detail to be milled from six-quarter lumber. The contemporary profile is comprised of a 1/8 by 1/8" chamfer on the left outer edge, attached to a 3/4" wide line segment that joins to a 1/8" wide by 1/8" deep dado or quirk, connected to a 1/4" wide by 1/8" deep perpendicular line that transitions into a forty-five degree beveled line, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension above the 1/4" wide by 3/4" tall rabbet for the casing to fit into.
