Backband 1-1/4" - 12

This beautifully bold backband 1-1/4" - 12 measures 1.250" wide by 1.750" tall, enabling the pattern to be milled from either six or eight-quarter lumber depending on the wood's grain orientation you wish to expose. The elegant profile is composed of a two tangent radius cyma reversa on top, flanked by a 1/16" wide line segment with a 3/64" round over on the outside edge, joined to a 3/32" wide squared notch and a 3/8" cove leaving a 5/32" thickness dimension on the thin side of the pattern. The rabbet for many of our wonderful casing profiles fit into measures 1/4" wide by 3/4" tall.
