Backband 1-1/8"

This ogee backband 1-1/8" measures 1.125" wide by 1.250" tall, permitting the detail to be machined from either five or six-quarter lumber. The traditional profile is composed of a 15/32" wide by 3/32" tall raised fillet with a 5/32" rounded edge on the left, connected to a two tangent radius cyma reversa derived from two 3/8" radius semicircles with a 3/64" eased edge, leaving a 5/32" thickness dimension above the 3/4" tall by 1/4" wide rabbet for the door casing to fit into. The bottom of the design retains a 1/8" wide horizontal line that transitions into a four-degree angle for easy scribing during the installation process.
