Backband 1" - 6

This ornamental 1" - 6 backband measures 1.000" wide by 1.500" tall, enabling the detail to be milled from five-quarter lumber laying horizontally flat in the molder during the milling process. The beautifully basic profile is composed of an 11/16" wide bullnose top, attached to a 3/32" wide line segment in the middle that connects to a 17/32" cove, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on the right side edge. The rabbet for the casing molding measures 3/4" tall by 1/4" wide. The height of the rabbet can be altered with an axial adjustment of the top cutter head on the molder.
