Backband 1" - 1

This custom 1" - 1 backband measures 1.000" wide by 1.437" thickness, allowing the detail to be milled from five-quarter lumber. The unique profile is composed of a 1/2" wide flat line with a 3/64" eased edge on the left, connected to three 1/16" wide by 1/16" deep steps that transitions into a forty-five-degree beveled line in the center, joined to three additional 1/16" wide by 1/16" deep tiers leaving a 1/4" thickness dimension on the right side of the pattern. The rabbet for the casing to tuck into measures 3/8" wide by 11/16" tall; this area is easily adjusted in height with a simple axial adjustment of the left cutter head on the molder.
